Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications. The main aim is to ensure the safe use of electricity. For this purpose they are given the responsibility of designing electrical appliances as well as the wiring system of electricity to ensure the supply of electricity to these appliances. Electrical engineers are concerned with designing the flight systems of aircrafts and rocket propulsion systems. Industrial automation and automobile control system design are also a part of electrical engineering. Electrical engineering has an important role to play in many other fields of study. For instance, signal processing makes use of the principles of electrical engineering in modifying the digital and analog nature of the signals to obtain the required output.
To strive for constant improvement in quality in all the endeavors of Teaching,Research,Personality development and Technological advancement so as to pursue global standards of excellence and to impart skills essential for graduate engineers to become employable in the global competitive environment.
The department has emphasized on continuous improvement of faculty and students providing periodic training and continuous up gradation of laboratories with latest advancement. The department has highly experienced faculty members from industrial background with specialization in the area of Power System, Control System and Instrumentation. The branch provides a solid foundation in the electrical field and software field. It trains students for the dynamic and rapidly changing market for computing, information systems and products. We are determined to provide latest technology and trends imparting knowledge by providing practical training along with Indian value system. I believe, joint efforts of students and staff members will lead the atmosphere of Electrical Engineering department towards the best of the academics and achievements in our life.
